This page details some of the most frequent questions we are asked about our products:

All MediView products are guaranteed for one year from the date of despatch against manufacturing faults.

In the unlikely event that you are not entirely satisfied with your purchase we offer the following guarantee within 28 days of despatch:
•  For non-prescription MigraLens® orders a refund or free exchange for an alternative frame – less cost of postage

  • For prescription lens MigraLens® orders, either a 50% refund, or free exchange for a clear pair

 

All returns for refund or exchange must be in perfect condition – postage paid. No responsibility can be taken for lost or damaged goods returned to MediView.

People choose when to use MigraLens® depending on their own individual circumstances – ranging from all day to when they feel they need the protection most – walking around a brightly lit store, when using a computer, out in the sun. Some people choose to only use them when a migraine onsets – it really is up to you.

In Europe, spectacle filters that adjust or change the colours seen by the wearer may not be used for driving or road use. This is the case for many filters including MigraLens® which is designed to specifically absorb the wavelengths/ colours that cause sensitivity to migraineurs.

Ordering your new MigraLens® couldn’t be easier. Use the menu along the top to select ‘MigraLens® products’ and click on one of the options, depending on whether you wear ‘prescription’ or ‘non-prescription’ glasses. This will then display the appropriate styles available to you. See ‘What is the process for ordering prescription MigraLens®’ for the next steps in that instance.

  3. Check-out to select the postage and make payment

Once you have selected the frame and lens option and paid, you will receive an email with instructions, depending on whether you live in, or outside the United Kingdom:

 

If you live in the United Kingdom:

  1. We will post the empty frame you have ordered, along with a form for your optician to complete
  2. Take the frame and dispensing form to your optician to complete the measurements needed
  3. Return the frame and form to us along with a copy of your prescription which must be less than 2 years old
  4. When your glasses are completed, we send them to the optician to fit to you – NOTE: We send them a cheque with the completed glasses, to cover their dispensing fee (£15 for distance or reading glasses)
  5. Prescription distance or reading MigraLens® orders are usually despatched within 10 working days after receipt of your dispensing form and prescription

If you live outside the United Kingdom:

  1. Scan and email a copy of your prescription (which must be less than 2 years old) along with the measurement of the distance between your eyes to: info@migralens.com
  2. Your MigraLens® prescription glasses will be posted to you once completed
  3. NOTE: MediView will refund overseas customers an amount equivalent to (£15 GBP) which will contribute towards the fee that your optician charges for their service – MediView will not be responsible for any expenses or fees charged by your optician, over and above this amount
  4. Prescription distance or reading MigraLens® orders are usually despatched within 12 working days of receipt of your dispensing form and prescription

  1. We will post the empty frame you have ordered, along with a dispensing form for your optician to complete with the measurements needed to make the glasses
  2. Scan and email the completed dispensing form to us along with a copy of your prescription which should be less than 2 years old
  3. Your MigraLens® bifocal or varifocal lenses will be sent to you – take them along to your optician to fit them in to the frame
  4. NOTE: MediView will refund overseas customers an amount equivalent to £23 for bifocals and £26 for varifocals which will contribute towards the fee that your optician charges for their service – MediView will not be responsible for any expenses or fees charged by your optician, over and above this amount
  5. Prescription bifocal or varifocal MigraLens® orders are usually despatched 12 working days after receipt of your dispensing form and prescription
  1. From the menu, select MigraLens® Products > I wear prescription glasses
  2. Select ‘clip-on’ and pay
  3. You will receive an email instructing you to place your frames face down and take a photocopy of them
  4. Post the photocopy to: MediView, 20 Longcrofte Rd, Edgware HA8 6RR United Kingdom
  5. Clip-ons are made to order and take 5-7 working days to despatch

Yes. Your frame should not be rimless or semi-rimless. No responsibility can be taken for breakages. Send your frame to: MediView, 20 Longcrofte Rd, Edgware, HA8 6RR, United Kingdom

MigraLens® are a pleasant green colour. They are this colour as a result that they are designed specifically to absorb the wavelengths/ colours that cause sensitivity to migraineurs.

 

MediView filters are not a substitute for medication or treatment and are not intended as a means of retarding or preventing either onset of, or deterioration of any new or pre-existing conditions or symptoms. If unexpected symptoms persist or occur while using MediView filters, cease use and consult a medical practitioner immediately. Consult your medical practitioner before commencing use if unsure of your suitability to use MediView filters. Products are unsuitable for direct viewing of the sun, bright light sources, use in solaria or for driving at night. MigraLens® is a category 2 filter for use in average sunlight. The optical characteristics of the filters renders them unsuitable for road use and driving. All MediView sunglasses satisfy BS EN ISO 12312-1-2013. This eyewear is not designed to protect the wearer from all injury resulting from impacts in the event of the frame or lens being struck by an object. The lenses are produced from impact resistant, but not shatterproof, polycarbonate and should not be used as industrial safety eyewear. They should be cleaned using warm soapy water and gently dried with a soft cloth or the microfibre cloth case supplied.
